VEXTA
Visual EXtensible Text Architecture. A research IDE that keeps source, computation, review, and finished output inside one project.
Why it exists
Technical research is usually split across source files, data, scripts, references, review notes, and rendered documents. VEXTA gives those materials one visible project structure and keeps the source beside what it produces.
Projects stay local by default. VEXTA Cloud adds collaboration and encrypted persistence while using the same project structure for editing, compilation, review, and export.
Working surface
- Work across Markdown, Quarto, notebooks, Typst, LaTeX, references, data, and research scripts.
- Edit source beside live Markdown and compiled PDF views.
- Review claims, comments, citations, and stale outputs in the same project context.
- Export documents, source archives, research packages, and finished PDFs.
Current development build
The current 0.4.3 build speeds active LaTeX and Markdown preview. It also improves document outlines, file navigation, and workspace tools around the active document.
The latest interface keeps project files in a movable workspace beside the active source and rendered document. Local history, cache handling, and workspace switching are faster and easier to inspect.
